still installed in /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/deskbar-

This is resolved (for me at least) with a fresh install of Karmic Koala
(Rhythmbox 0.12.5, ubuntu 9.10)

It's not a nautilus bug that installing another file manager overrides
the default handler for inode/directory, and it's a much more complex
problem than that. Furthermore, this seems to have absolutely nothing to
do with nautilus, but instead a packaging bug with 'kile' Recommending
the world.
Problem present also on Kubuntu Karmic using default power mgmt applet
(PowerDevil is the name?)

When I tried to restore my settings from a directory with spaces in it,
it gave me the Please Select Valid Backup File to Restore error, but
when I moved it to a directory without spaces it worked. Nonetheless not

Uh, yes there is. Wine and Crossover still do not support Pulse. And for
that reason I refuse to use it.
On top of that, ALSA alone has never, EVER given me a problem, whereas
adding Pulse into the mix only causes them.

Something in my profile was bad... gnome was not longer starting the
desktop... computer froze with black screen and round waiting mouse icon
not longer spinning... thanks to don't zap settings I can not longer
ctrl alt backspace the the system... the only way to recover was to boot
to recovery
