I am sry for changing the status. I was not knowing what it is.
I searched and found this as partial solution.
use command

Now I am getting following error message:

I see this problem too.
It is a regression from Jaunty. I had 2 Jaunty and 1 Fedora (F9/10?)
systems where gthumb import worked correctly. I upgraded the Jaunty
systems and re-installed the Fedora system. All systems now have this
issue.
In my case at least, I found this problem was caused by

Confirmed---your patch fixes the issue.
Good to hear!
Strictly speaking, I don't think you need part 3 of your patch
I this is correct. Part 3 only re-enables the gconf

Whether metacity *should* have a key to do this, I
Both Jaunty and Karmic contain the same upstream version of gthumb
(2.10.11), so this is probably either a bug in a library that gthumb
uses, rather than gthumb itself, or a bug in Ubuntu's packaging.

I don't expect a new user could find this workaround easily. That's why
I opened this issue.
Exactly. It took me a while to find this bug, and after I switch from
America Shiprock to america/denver, the weather applet suddenly works.
Selecting a certain city should not disable the weather applet.
That does sound like progress. Just a heads up, though Locke99_GS
tried it with 2.6.33 about a week ago and failed. See
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1317448page=2 . We're not
done till the solution is stable.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that
affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be
addressed as part of this project.
