I've come up with this problem on my laptop. It is ACER Aspire 6530. At
resolution 1366x768, I maximize terminal on the workspace together with
some other maximized applications like firefox and/or nautilus etc. and
when I try to close app
An easy way to reproduce this is to just do:
printf "\003\n\x1A\n"
This shows than when receiving these characters, gnome-terminal tries to
print them, instead of ignoring them.
When doing: printf "##\003##\n", gnome-terminal (and thus also
terminator), will print 2 hash characters, then the unic

released, but I can confirm this issue still exists with active threads

under Ubuntu 9.10. I have custom wrapper scripts named

Panel hangs during loading;
I received a new kernel update ~ 11 hours ago, (to 2.6.31-18-generic-
pae), and have NOT had any problems with the panels in any way. This is

I have attached the output that I received when I started up songbird in

However, I think the problem may be on songbird's side because songbird
is trying to use the gstreamer plugins provided by songbird instead of

The only (easy) way to get the times right in F-Spot's DB again is to
remove and re-import your pictures, unfortunately.
It would be possible to modify the times in the DB directly, a script
could be written to adjust them "behind F-Spot's back", but that's a
little beyond me right now.

Good catch indeed! That's the button used to change password when the
selected user is the current one. Does the bug appear only with that
user? In other cases, it should be hidden.

Binary package hint: evolution
I can start Evolution and minimize it after reading a couple of emails
on my maildir. I read mail locally, get mail with fetchmail, and
sendmail through evolution with msmtp.
Evolution will seg fault just sitting there minimized, it will just
now i have tried this :

Well, do you have the "visuel effects" activated?
Because I know due some friends this problem only occurs on systems with
ATI-graphiccards with visuel effects activated.
In my friends case it flashes if you move the mouse or if you have something
running in the background (like an animation).

after restart of OS i need write the password again.

If I watch some videos and want to toggle around the video because, let's say,
