When using Dvorak keymap, keyboard shortcuts that are handled by g-s-d
and have a letter in them (e.g. super+w, launch browser) don't work when
logging in. Resetting them either in Keyboard Shortcuts or gconf-editor
makes them work
Is it my impression or the latest xserver-xorg-core upgrade fixed it?

I found this bug at bugzilla which suggests that it was a problem with
libpurple(it was a few months ago) so it would be really helpful if someone who
uses gadugadu can test this under lucid(as lucid most probably have a later
version of libpurple)

Ah I thought you were using a compose-key sequence, but it's just a
regular sequence.
I think changing the default input method for Gtk+ when using an en
layout would be quite intrusive though. Perhaps we can fix the en
default input method to be more useful to type French ç instead.

Somehow Totem doesn't detect the right screen size and displays videos

I did thesame as the poster. the password + username are indeed inside
the application, other preferences i did not change so i cant check if
they are the changed version or not. If i need to change other
preferences please say so.

Do you really mean gnome-main-menu (the one from Novell with the
application browser); or do you mean the standard GNOME menu with
Applications,Places,System in gnome-panel?

Have the same prob, changing the foreground color through gconf-editor does not
work either.
Also, There seems to be no way of removing the indicator - what if I don't want
the keyboard indicator at all?

I'm having the same issue in Ubuntu 9.10. gedit indicates that the
language of the document is English, yet it is spell checking against
the Australian version of English. I have to set the language of the
document to English: United States explicitly. /etc/default/locale and
the locale command
To solve this problem, what i did, is to install vlc player and open
every radio streaming with it. So far it works.

I know what you mean, I observed the same before. And yes, originally it
was a table but that's an information not included in this PDF file
because it's not a tagged PDF file. AR 9 and Xpdf don't have this
problem; screenshots attached.

I can confirm this bug, although I don't use language-pack-gnome-zh-hans
but language-pack-gnome-fr.
So everything is in french, including «Système», «Préférences» and
«Administration».
But everything inside these 2 menus is in english (About me, Appearance,…
Computer janitor, Disk utility…).
Oops, I really mean standard one, sorry.
Anyway, here is a one-liner that will fix your gnome menu so you can
edit those wine (and possibly other) broken .desktop files. It collapses
all the sub-directories, renaming them with the same flat scheme
alacarte would use and removing the originals.
