Although the previous tricks didn't resolve my problem, it is now - due
to several apparmor updates - fixed. However, running videos from evince
doesn't work with totem (it just opens totem exits before playing the
video). It does work with VLC - maybe this helps Alejandro Weinstein. So

The trasfer stalled when reaching 4GB and I was wondering why this happens.
Then I checked the USB filesystem, and figured out it is vFAT, which has the

few seconds after the password dialog appears. Not a show-stopper, but a

When I hover mouse over the rhythmbox icon usually it displays song
info. When a new song starts also shows a notification (in a different
layout on ubuntu).
But when I start VirtualBox (using the non ose version) rhtythmbox stops

empathy is an im client, it has contact lists on the server. could you
give an example of protocol you are using where contacts are not showed
when using the account on a new installation? ie where you need to
import those. jabber and msn have the list on the server and you get it
displayed from

can you log in as root?
then type the following into a terminal
# chmod 777 /tmp
if you can't log in as root (because for instance no root password is set),
i suggest booting into single user/recovery mode
you'll then get a root prompt where you'll be able to change the permissions
if you don't
