This sounds like the same keymap issues that were experienced with an
older version. It may be that the solution that was implemented to
solve those issues may not resolve this issue or may be aggravating it.
I believe this stems out of the new evdev input system that is in use in
newer desktops.

Seems that the content of $HOME/.config/user-dirs.dirs can damage
Nautilus. Don't try to set this XDG_ values to folders with lots of
file. I think the problem is XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR.

Reopening, I just had this happen again, and I took a screenshot of it.
You can see that the t contact is hidden (offline) in gmail chat but online
in empathy.
I use empathy only for Gtalk so it's not another protocol or something silly
like that.

Crash on incoming video call
I think I've found the problem. The culprit is the no_proxy
environment variable. Once I unset this wget starts honoring http_proxy
setting. Perhaps the no_proxy format as set by gnome-settings
automatically has syntax error.

All items in my Input tab is greyed out, I don't have a Connector
field halfway down the page, and the box Choose a device for sound
input is completely empty. See a screenshot as an attachment.
I read through all the advice I could find, it is not simply muted.
Please help.
