Currently I have no more errors. After installing Ubuntu Maverick, an error
occurred with the 'plymouth' but after the upgrade packages, it is
gone. Messenger
Empathy was removed immediately after installing Ubuntu.

I have now made some programming attempts. :-o
Managed quite a bit, I think, but couldn't fix the problem.
Firstly:
I located the the totem-2.30.2.tar.bz2 and downloaded it.
Opened the totem-youtube.c file (via browser) and copy pasted your patch to the
right line, and it was saved.
It did take several tries to get an apport on this - seems that many people
responding to this bug are actually being affected by enabled plugin(s)

and test it. works out for me, now.

preferences.

It's alright with xpdf, and it's displayed perfectly in acroread. This
is 10.05 and evince 2.30.3-0ubuntu1.1
