completely remove the three folders in ~/.thumbnails: fail, large and
normal. Nautilus then re-reads the metadata and assigns new icons to all

A side issue here is that the current version of Disks seems to apply
this option by default. I used the utility to persistently mount some
favourite partitions, without touching the mount options, and
consequently they would fail to mount in either Disks or via sudo mount

A user who wants to use IRC should be able to find Empathy as a way to
do so. Unfortunately, searching in Ubuntu Software Center for irc
doesn't return anything that leads to Empathy.
The first result is some client called tekka (which crashes on
startup); Konversation and
I've installed libgeis1 2.2.9.2-0ubuntu1 and can confirm that the
proposed update does fix this bug (the slow startup of evince when the
backend fails to initialize).

How much it's different from original, when you look at it when zooming?
SVG Cleaner too modify svg because it modify paths (d atribute, and
that't the whole problem). You can try to use different modification to
fix your svg, or try to reverse modifications done by SVG Cleaner.

as i replied earlier in this thread, I've been so frustrated by this that
I've already ditched gnome and moved to xfce. It gives me my gnome 2 look
and feel and behavior, including flawless session saving.
Also, future releases of gnome are going to severely curtail the
functionality of

To add to my previous email, don't table Ubuntu just yet. Install xfce and
the other ancillary xfce packages, or try xubuntu (Ubuntu with xfce as the
default window manager).
Also, correcting a typo in my previous email, i somehow missed out adding
the word hacker after the word kernel.

When you run python-dbg with the debug packages, if you call
set_select_function on a treeview, whenever the function is called
python-dbg will assert with the following error:
Fatal Python error: gtktreeview.override:671 object at 0xb83fb0 has
negative ref count -1
Looking at PyEval_CallFunction, it appears that it expects the arguments
to be referenced before they are passed in, as it dereferences them upon
returning. By removing the Py_DECREF(pypath) at line 671 of
gtktreeview.override, this bug no longer occurs.

You need to export the variable to the environment of gnome-session,
which does not read .bashrc. Try setting it within /etc/X11/Xsession.d
instead.
