I confirm the bug is back in Trusty when using gnome-online-accounts
with a GMail account. And, by the way, the same bug occurs with gnome-
contacts too. Both workd perfectly a few weeks ago, so something must
have broken very recently.

#include boost/units/cmath.hpp
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~phablet-team/location-service/trunk/view/head:/include/location_service/com/ubuntu/location/units/units.h#L21
which is only available in the libboost-dev package:

Since it can be reproduced with gnome-session-quit... although I don't
think it's the root issue, since it also happens with other dialogs of
the same style (keyboard shortcuts for one). I don't know which package

That workaround doesn't work for me. There is some activity on the drive
light, however, it remains on with the motor running. The only thing
that works for me is to close the notebook lid, wait for it to suspend,
remove the drive, then open the lid again.

For me a simple
umount /media/username/drive
does the trick. The drive won't get remounted and is save to remove
after the command completes.
