Title:
[Alarm][UX] default sound
Public bug reported:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open terminal
2. Type: nautilus . ( open current directory )
You'll see errors like:
(nautilus:8801): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_theme_get_for_screen: assertion
'GDK_IS_SCREEN (screen)' failed
(nautilus:8801): GLib-GObject-WARNING **:
Same here.
Applaying gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources current 0
immediately fixes the problem.
I'm not going to put this command at startup because this issue arises
randomly at any time (and not after boot).

Hi Lucio,

A big location change could take a lot of time, the same as the first app
startup. Could you leave it near to a window or in the car without movement?

Yes,
This is indeed disappointing.
At work I often have 10 tabs open and need to navigate between them. It used to
be really good, now it's bad.

I got the same error.
First time after installation I opened gimp as root ('sudo gimp'). So it's
initial configuration is set for root. Now 'sudo gimp' works perfectly. I don't
know how to solve this..

By now I kinda have the feeling that it's the fault of some program.
Because when clicking shutdown, a few programs are closed, while other's
stay open. Only after the second shutdown, all close. So one program is
apparently not responding to the signal the first time.

Doug, blank cd's don't really get mounted (not in a filesystem sense),
but are mounted to a special prefix (atelast within the volume monitor)
purely so the autorun helpers can work (pop up a dialog what do you want
do, launch brasero, or what not). Same would apply to audio CD's.

I had this problem on an LTSP server and I fixed it by creating a
system-wide autostart entry for the panel like so
root@test-ltsp:/opt/ltsp/i386/etc/xdg/autostart# cat
unity-panel-service.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Exec=/usr/lib/unity/unity-panel-service
