Occasional Keyboard freeze
Now that I have a workaround, I tried to be fully on Ubuntu default DE.
What I noticed in past hour are
1. The freeze is more prominent in CommuniTheme session
2. There is also mouse freeze. But it happens less frequently than
keyboard freeze. It goes away if we try to access dash search. In fact
PFA the lspci -k output.
Should NVIDIA driver be uninstalled?
We located this problem when trying to load these .MOV videos in MATLAB
and GStreamer threw error regarding missing codecs. To cross-verify, we
tried playing it in mkv and vlc (which worked), but totem failed.

have awful tearing/flickering which makes them essentially unwatchable.

Maybe a small detail which may have an impact: the laptop has SecureBoot
enabled by default.
During the installation, the Ubuntu installer made me go about setting a

Based on the logs I've checked, fwupd has been behaving correctly, no
where in the various boot logs have I seen it crash or output anything
that would look like an issue.
However, I've been seeing many issues from Gnome Software.

As suggested, I tried the latest daily build of Disco from USB. I used
