I have a similar problem after upgrading Ubuntu to have Gnome 3.34 installed.
The only difference is that Alt+Tab works until certain point when windows
freeze and only Ctrl + Alt + F3 -> init 3 -> login

I did some testing in line with the bug's description with
3.34.2-1ubuntu1 and it seemed good to me.

A segmentation fault occurred while using the foreground select tool.
After pressing the "Select" button a box came up briefly saying
something about "computing alpha of unknown pixel"
I am new to gimp and was following a tutorial when this happened.

@marcustomlinson, when copying/pasting from Geany into Geary, I didn't
get an image. I believe I got the wrong text. But unfortunately I
don't remember precisely.
I have seen this bug zillions of times in LibreOffice Writer, typically
when copying in one window and pasting in another, and only
@adam-yorba, when you said you reproduced this copying from Geany into
Geary what did you mean? That an image was pasted instead of text? Or
that nothing was pasted?

A little workaround that I found
the alt-r key does not trigger for me the HUD. So I reprogrammed my
keyboard alt-l to be alt-r as well.
works for me. I hope it helps until this is fixed/changed.
NOTE. I do have a programmable keyboard. I do not know if it works with
software keymapping
Thanks. I created a log with `journalctl --since "2019-11-08 13:00:00"
--until "2019-11-08 13:26:49" > ~/gnome_hung_logs.txt` which I then
cleaned up of unnecessary events, like nm reconnecting or similar
unuseful logs.

I noticed that RabbitVCS / checkerservice.py was the reason for hanging.
After I removed the RabbitVCS installation, Nautilus doesn't hang any
more.
Could this bug be moved to rabbitvcs-nautilus?
