I can't find any reason in those logs for the bug. Maybe try adding this
to /etc/environment:
MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS=0
and then reboot.

Removal of the package 'sabily-gdm-themes' and rebooting had no effect
on my situation.
Daniel, perhaps you have some insight into this. What information I've found
in my internet search says that gdm/gdm3 defaults to Adwaita icon theme. I'm
looked for "how to configure" type articles

Unfortunately I wiped Ubuntu 20.04 and did a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04.
Ubuntu 22.04 did not have any problems setting wifi and the wifi connects
automatically to the hidden network.

Same problem with Surface 1 after upgrading from 20 to 22. The Screen
Keyboard mostly works unless the physical keyboard is attached. When I'm
typing in passwords for pop-up windows i.e. Wi-Fi password it never
works. It just displays the keyboard but doesn't register any inputs.
