to launch Discord for the first time in a long time. The snap will only
launch from a terminal, not the shell ("not a snap cgroup error").

Confirming here. I noticed my desktop system had done this last night.

Yours actually renders better than on my systems. On mine, I can see
the whole icon... but with a big gray background - and it covers up
other items on the notifications panel. Other white-listed apps show
the same behavior... though their icons tend to be the proper size.

said it doesn't work when you log in from lightdm, so I don't quite grok
your meaning.
Still broken here - with all available updates installed. I have my DM
set to GDM because of /bad experiences/ with lightdm early on.

I'm seeing the same problem on a machine I just upgraded from Natty to
Oneiric last night. Control center was fine before, but is now empty.
Re-installing the gnome-control-center and gnome-control-center-data
made no difference - nor did logging in as a different user.

Also - When Facebook Chat is showing the Authorization Failed in the
accounts window, it *does* look the password is already filled in and is
the correct length.

I see this exact same behavior with Yakuake when I have compiz running
on Kubuntu 9.04a4 (64-bit) w/nvidia 180.27. It happens all the time.
Disabling Compiz causes the terminal to work fine again.
