The mouse pointer speed setting on my ubuntu desktop is from
blazingly fast to fast. When set to fast speed, i cant even see the
pointer. I am sure this is a problem for a lot of other users who like
to to use the mouse at a lower speed.
i realize that the speed maybe
still present in trusty when using logitech wiresless mouse.
surprisingly a4tech mouse does not display as icon on launcher. can some
one suggest a fix?

Interesting note.
Even with my Nautilus settings removed, after adding (just) 2GB of files
(101785 items) to my Templates directory my Nautilus became unbearably
slow to a point of becoming unresponsive.
After I moved these same files to Documents directory Nautilus went
back to normal. I
I only found two files when looking for nautilus.

I have the same problem, tried numerous options, saw a same problem in
RedHat which was solved by changing Evolution security to
http://foolcontrol.org/img/evolution%20security.png but it didn't work
out for me.
Same thing goes for setting key to various trust levels, still same
problem.

I just upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 from 8.04. System freezes at irregular
times and CPU hangs and caps lock light lid continuously and everything
