[Bug 1492481] [NEW] Feature request bug - show files behavior

2015-09-04 Thread Andrew King
Public bug reported: I don't see a reason that the main application should stay open after "show files" is clicked. Wouldn't a more intuitive behavior be to close the archive browser when you choose to show files? I'm not complaining, and it's certainly not a deal-breaker for using file-roller,

[Bug 994289] [NEW] [Wishlist] for organization of gi.repository in such a way that it doesn't break pylint and aptana studio

2012-05-03 Thread Andrew King
Public bug reported: Many tools, including pylint and aptana studio, fail to parse the gtk3 repository and generate false positive warnings. I think if we're trying to encourage development on gtk3, then existing tools should definitely be supported/working out of the box. ** Affects: pygtk

[Bug 315236] Re: gnome-volume-control fails

2009-01-14 Thread Andrew King
It seems that gnome-volume-control is started at some point previously. (possibly by gnome-volume-control-applet) killing the existing process (killall gnome-volume-control) allows it to be run normally again. -- gnome-volume-control fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315236 You received

[Bug 277203] Re: gnome-sound-properties setting to disable login sound not honored

2009-01-14 Thread Andrew King
Confirmed in Jaunty. By default it seems that the sounds from the Ubuntu theme are missing (nothing plays to start with), however selecting a custom sound, and then disabling the login sound causes sound to be played every time, regardless of if it's been disabled or not. --

[Bug 314957] Re: Jaunty A2 - gnome-sound-properties missing

2009-01-14 Thread Andrew King
I think this is still a bug, not Wishlist. It should be possible to get to the sound preferences though the System-Setting menu, instead of (or as well as) through the volume control panel applet, which is the only way to do this currently. Also, in the panel applet the button is labelled

Hi, I am also experiencing this bug. Some further experimentation reveals that the places menu still shows the disk after unmounting (but not unplugging) - when unplugged the disk is removed from the places menu. So probably this is only a nautilus issue. Also very occasionally the correct
