ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
Date: Wed Feb 10 07:24:15 2010
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin
For some reason, this stopped happening for me in the last few weeks.
I'm not sure if there was an update that fixed this, or if it is just a
coincidence, but I used to have this problem on nearly every boot.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
When I click the evolution icon on the desktop the application appears to start
- bottom line says starting, mouse is turning wheel, etc. After some 30-90
seconds those indicators go away - with no apparent evidence of application
starting.
The recent update to the gtk2-engines-pixbuf package seems to have fixed
this issue for me also on Ubuntu 9.10, 32-bit, using the New Wave
theme.
