I'd be willing to bet that if you check your xorg.conf files the refresh rate on the modelines is too high. For example my settings used to be: modeline [EMAIL PROTECTED] Editing the xorg.conf so that the only modeline available is: modeline [EMAIL PROTECTED] make this problem disappear.
