Ubuntu 8.04 - I open nautilus as root, create a file on my normal user desktop, and then close root's nautilus. As a user, I can edit the file but not save it, as expected. I right-click the file's icon and click "move to the deleted items folder"; it is moved to trash despite me not being the own
