signals from GTK. i.e. my expose method is being called repeatedly by

yeah for the new indicator-sound, the design is to make the slider
inactive when the state is muted. This is the same for Pavucontrol. It
is only the G-V-A and mixer which follows the above mentioned pattern
which has its benefits.

In terms of actual changes this means the gstreamer-pipeline MP3 encoding would

Honestly, I don't think this is a bug. The user pattern as is enables
the user to set a desired volume level before releasing the mouse and
unmuting the device. If it were the other way around the device would be
unmuted the second you move the slider. Not very appropriate IMHO.
