player is required. Try dragging an ogg vorbis file onto it and
rhythmbox will fail to transcode it.
It will however, give no error. It will simply do nothing.

Surely this is at least medium? It makes watching matroska files with
more than one soundtrack, or with subtitles, impossible... That's a LOT
of unplayable video... :(

It should also be noted that subtitles are not actually selectable from
the subtitle menu. Totem simply shows there being no subtitles despite
displaying them. This means the user cannot turn them off or change
language.

I have a green ipod nano (2nd generation) and I also get no album art
transferred. All my album art resides in the correct folders titled
.folder.jpg and rhythmbox detects it perfectly. It does not sync it to
the ipod however, whether the track is playing or not.

Yeh thanks! I have now discovered (through your forum post Lukáš, that
Ex Falso CAN read the tags and indeed it is only stripping of ID3v1 tags
and the incorrect error messages being produced that are the bug.

I have tried three: easyTAG, Ex Falso and Audio Tag Tool, all from the
repos.
At first I thought it was a bug in easy tag, but when I realised none of
the other programs could read the tags after being edited in rhythmbox,
it was clear which program was at fault...

I have just tried this editing a single tag and the same thing happens!
This is a major bug, I am slowly destroying my music collection without
realising it...

I have just noticed that rhythmbox does produce some errors about this.
It gives import errors in a sort of playlist style under library. It
says couldn't access file: correct path to

Every track has a seemingly random addition of 6 characters to its mp3
extension.
