When setting show-favorites to false by following command, log out/in or
reboot, show applications button does not bring up applications:
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock show-favorites false
Expect results:

When continuously changing the screen resolution and hit Apply button,
without closing the Display Preferences UI, user
To prevent non-admin user from changing xorg.conf setting, I tried the
following:
- go to System - Administration - Authorizations
- From the left menu, go to com-ubuntu-screenresolution-mechanism-Change

- Click Edit, set Active Console to Admin Authentication
