[Bug 649809] Re: Meerkat (10.10) does not apply theme properly

2010-11-04 Thread Donal
No auto login here either. It happens 95% of the time. Also the hack in #68 works for me and I haven't seen the problem since applying it. -- Meerkat (10.10) does not apply theme properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649809 You received this bug notification because you are a member of

[Bug 649809] Re: Meerkat (10.10) does not apply theme properly

2010-11-04 Thread Donal
I'm using the nvidia binary drivers. Also using them on 2 other machines without SSD with no problems. When I try to change the theme in the gnome-appearance-properties only the titlebar theme will change. Starting the gnome-settings-daemon doesn't help until I log out and back in again. And even

2010-11-02 Thread Donal
I'll add my .xsession-errors later from home. One thing I've noticed which is way more damaging is that the .xsession- errors and .xsession-errors.old quickly fill up my home partition by repeatedly logging the same error. After about 15 mins the 19 gig free space in my home partition is gone

Ernesto. I'll try that fix at home this evening. I too am using an SSD drive so sounds like it might be the cause. -- Meerkat (10.10) does not apply theme properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649809 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is

[Bug 383927] Re: endless loading in nautilus / some files missing

I am still getting it intermittently. Seems to now rely on large files being moved into the target folder. Switching off Nautilus Preview is the still the easiest fix. -- endless loading in nautilus / some files missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383927 You received this bug notification

[Bug 397192] Re: nautilus becomes non-responsive during video-playback

2010-02-02 Thread donal
After being fine since the fix was released I've got this problem back, but intermittently. I'm back to switching on and off Preview. It manifests slightly differently. With Preview switched on, in a older into which large files have been copied, the folder contents may not be visible until

[Bug 192009] Re: gnome panel has no way to specify on which screen it should appear

In my case, I use a laptop also with external VGA. I just installed Karmic over Intrepid. With Karmic the laptop comes up as primary but I want the Ext. VGA as primary when it is plugged in. I've had to add a script to switch both off and reset the External as Primary after each restart (of

Yes, I'm seeing a similar issue on folders which have video files. Terminal will list the files but Nautilus will wait continuously trying to update the folder. If I switch NautilusEditPreferencesPreview to Never Preview, all files will display. I also thought it was mainly folders where files
