Well I sat down with the hal 0.5.9 source and tried to figure out how it works... in sound_add in device.c the alsa sound properties only get added if the device has a parent. But HAL can't find a parent for my devices like /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D0p etc... so it doesn't register them. -- Hal
