Sebastien,
I tried to implement your .debdiff following the instructions from
here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuPackagingGuide/BuildFromDebdiff?highlight=(debdiff)
And after following those steps I ended up with five different (related)
nautilus.deb s.
Now they all have different
Thanks Sebastien. Just as one final note... Will it come up in Hardy
backports... Or Intrepid only?

As the fancy little reminder says: I think that this duplicate status
is wrong. It does not have to do with sudo not working... seems how one
shouldn't use sudo to open a graphical app anyways (gksu
Agreed... How easily will it be able to upgrade to this newest Gnome
version... Especially in Hardy :\ I have wanted to do this before, but
have never found decent instructions on how to do that... however, I
recognize that this (a bug report) is not the best place to discuss
this?

I agree with John; I have no idea how to apply the patch, but would love
to know how, anyone help? 8.04.1 here. Thanks

However, Hardy is supposed to be supported through 2011, therefore it is
still a pertinent bug. Especially for people who don't plan on updating
to Intrepid, Jaunty, or anything in between until the next LTS comes
out.

[HARDY 8.04.1] gksu nautilus does not work with blank cd in drive
I only have Hardy on both of my computers: Looks like it will stay a
Hardy thing. Is there a way to just update gnome in Hardy then I guess?
Or a way to port the fix from the Ibex and Jaunty versions to this one?

Also, my laptop will not go to suspend if I have the time in GPM set to x
number of minutes. Looks like a different, but remotely similar bug.
I have noticed that when I do suspend, the only way to un-suspend is if i close
the laptop lid, and reopen it. I
So it sounds like this is working in both Hardy, and Intrepid... Will it
come out for Hardy too, because it is also an issue still in Hardy, and
I know that it was being worked on under Hardy in the Gnome bug. It's
almost there.

I second Dan Andersan's opinion. It should be marked at least as

Confirmed on Ubuntu 8.04.1 I have not tried the patch fix, primarily
because i am not competent with compiling source, and I do not have
proposed enabled because of a bad kernel in proposed. I can see all of
the computers in the Workgroup, but I have to manually type in the path
to the folder
Update: Try turning compiz off and seeing if the screensaver works, I
did, and it works. There is a feature in General Prefs that says
something about disabling for fullscreen things; do that and it should
work. The compiz-fusion IRC on Freenode helped me out and fixed this
problem for me.
