Reading the comments it isn't clear the problem is on pulseaudio. In my case sometimes when I try to connect to my headset I get a crash on unity-control-center (not sure yet if it is related). After upgrading from Ubuntu 12.x I started to have this issue. I can pair my headset but when I try to
