Hi, in my desktop since I've installed karmic (and grub 2) the grub menu never show up during boot. It's automatically boot ubuntu. Luckily ubuntu is my only operating system so it's not a big deal. Today I've updated to Lucid and the grub2 menu still doesn't display, lucid boot automatically
