Hi If panel prperties is selected to be in the Middle (on Application, Place, System) and then one switches off. Next time one starts in Ubuntu, this panel comes in the middle. I fix it by going to properties.. --then selecting EXPAND -- then again selecting MIDDLE Thanks Ferdaus
