The MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS worked for me as well, thank you!

Title:
Display powersave only blanks, but does not turn
I have the same issue, even with gjs installed and tried the other
suggestions in this report.
I did upgrade from 21.10 (I think?) to 22.04. Even after a clean install
with restoring the home folder, I still have the same problem.

The new behavior is INFURIATING. And the search functionality is
terrible. Even if it were fast (and it's terribly slow on my Core i7 and
Intel SSD), it's stupid. I'm a software developer. When I type 'lib', I
want to jump to the lib directory that I'm looking at--not find every
directory and file
Good call, @maarten-fonville! I am also using two-factor authentication.
I'm not going to disable it to test. I have not noticed or checked
whether the problem occurs without two-factor authentication.

I have not been able to attempt the steps that you've requested, Marc.
However, this bug is trivial to reproduce. I think that anybody with an
interest in fixing this bug should be able to troubleshoot it
themselves.
To reproduce:
1. Set the screensaver timeout to 1 minute
2. Manually lock the

This bug definitely still exists in Natty. The GNOME bug also indicates
that the fix is a hack, so I think this is still a problem.
To EASILY reproduce this:
1. Create a folder in Nautilus for testing. Press Ctrl-Shift-N 30 times or so
to get a lot of folders to play with then press Enter to

Hi Marc. Thanks for following up. I'll provide the information you want
as soon as I can, but I need this computer for work, and I can only test
the screensaver by activating it or allowing it activate, then gather
the information by sshing from another computer.

This still happens to me several times a day with gnome-screensaver
2.30.2-0ubuntu2. It is not fixed.
I think that I may have noticed a correlation between the occurrence of
this bug and the use of Ctrl-Alt-L to manually start the screensaver.

I can and will. I worry that the new bug will just be marked as a

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
More often than not (which is to say, not every time), after entering my
password to unlock my desktop, the screensaver immediately reactivates
and I have to enter my password a second time.
Apparently, this bug was fixed in Maverick:
I have 2.30.2-0ubuntu2 in Natty, and this still occurs frequently.
