The Exchange module is the reason that I am using Evolution. Otherwise
I might as well use Thunderbird. Am I the only person with this problem?

I installed the Evolution dbg package and reran the backtrace using GDB.
It seemed to work a bit better this time. I've attached the backtrace.
I hope that there is something in there that you can use. I did notice
that the console generated an error message when I launched Evolution
about being

Evolution no longer will launch. I've attempted to attach a backtrace
captured during launch. I'm not sure if it captures the problem or not.
I have to press control-c during the launch because gdb hangs. If I
launch with evolution

I tried to generate a backtrace using the instructions here:

but Evolution would not launch. I've listed the text of the session below. I
tried to run as root using 'sudo' and that seemed to work, but it wanted to
launch evolution as if it were a new
Symptoms are exactly as original poster describes, except that it does
not resolve itself in -2-5 minutes. I must restart the application.
Selecting File/Quit does not shutdown the application though. The
window becomes gray and remains that way indefinitely. I've let it sit
for 30-40 minutes.
