I downloaded and now use the following keymap:
http://bersace03.free.fr/pub/Linux/xkb-mac/
And I no longer have this problem. Please also note that this map REALLY fits
my Powerbook G4 17 french (France) keyboard.

I most say that I only this problem under Dapper. Because under Breezy
the backspace button simply doesn't work in nautilus.
Like I said the key works everywhere else as it should be. But not in
nautilus.
