[Bug 173721] Re: Gnome keyboard layout options (like remapping Caps Lock) are not reapplied after reboot

2008-03-07 Thread Geoff Jacobsen
As a work-around for the caps-lock problem I added the following to my ~/.gnomerc file: xmodmap -e remove Lock = Caps_Lock -e keysym Caps_Lock = Control_L -e add Control = Control_L This also stops the caps_lock light toggling on and off -- Gnome keyboard layout options (like remapping Caps

2008-03-04 Thread Geoff Jacobsen
I don't believe the problem is fixed. It appears to me to be a race condition; I have my system setup to auto login and after a reboot the problem occurs but if I log out then back in it works fine. Under Gutsy I noticed a similar problem where the theme sometimes did not get setup properly when I

[Bug 33416] Re: Customized alarms NOT saved in Evolution appointment

I thought someone would say that :) I'll give it a go - I might get lucky. One thing I have discovered is a user work around: If one edits the Calendar preferences and changes Show a reminder to something other than 15 minutes (no need to tick the check box) the problem goes away but

This fix doesn't look like it will happen upstream anytime-soon but I feel that since evolution is the calendaring tool of choice for ubuntu that it is a major bug to go live with especially when the bug is not in breazy. Therefore is it not worth applying a patch to? -- Customized alarms NOT
