Sorry, bug surfaced upon checking/backing up/upgrading PC which I seldom use.
Never saw it again on that or on laptops I use.
Note, I still prefer EOG whether using Ubuntu-G, -X, or -L (all latest, beta,
or alpha versions).
If nobody else observed same problem then this should be closed.

To get hibernate to work on my Lenovo Ideapad Y530 I had to: echo
shutdown /sys/power/disk to avoid default platform.
I added this to my /etc/init.d/local which also includes my iptables
commands and which is executed via pointer (/etc/rcS.d/S99local).
