Dear Pedro Yes this happens every time that I try to start F-Spot. I've tried deleting and reinstalling F-Spot but still get the same problem. I have also noticed that Eye of Gnome image viewer fails to start, although I don't get any particular error message. I'm using Picasa 3 to view images.

Pedro I've uninstalled picasa, f-spot and eog, then installed f-spot on its own - still get the same error. Reinstalled eog. When I tried to start eog from a terminal it gave an error message - error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/liblcms.so.1: file too short. When I looked at this

Pedro Thanks - reinstalling liblcms1 and f-spot worked. Removing liblcms1 also removed several other packages e.g. f-spot, eog, gimp, openjdk, etc. but these only took a few minutes to reinstall. F-spot and eog now working fine. Thanks for your help with this, much appreciated. Graham
