Hi Pedro,
I have not used RhythmBox much since reporting the bug because of it.
Since receiving your Email I have used it a lot but cannot reproduce the
loop! Apart from applying service to Gutsy all I have done is doubled
the number of albums in my music folder.
If I experience the loop again I
I have upgraded to Gutsy and still have the problem. It appears
'shuffle' is a red herring as it occurs without shuffle set on.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Installed version = 0.10.0-0ubuntu2. System Monitor shows Rhythmbox
using 50% CPU (all of 1 processor on dual chip). Tracks play o.k. but
variable gap in between (several seconds to several minutes). CPU
briefly drops to 'normal' when track
PS. I have just noticed that it appears to only be a problem when
'shuffle' is set on.

Hi Pedro,
I have no idea what a crossfading backend is so if I am using it I
have not explicitly chosen to use it. How do I tell if I am?
Thanks, Garry.
