2.24.2-0ubuntu1 seems to fix the crash that occurred upon attempting to empty the trash via the folder context menu, but it still does not actually ever empty the trash, neither via the context menu nor upon exit. -- Evolution does not empty trash on exit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281093
