After a recent update, the problem no longer exists for me. I'll be
unsubscribing myself from this bug, as I probably wasn't experiencing
the same problem as zarquon42 (original report of the bug) is.

[soundnua]: hdmi audio missing in so
In my case, when booting with the HDMI cable connected, the option is available.
When booting with the HDMI cable disconnected and connecting it after boot, the
option doesn't appear.
A few days ago, this still worked, so it seems a recent update must have
introduced this bug?
