I'm not sure if this is a duplicate of bug 134352. Gedit is not slow. It
shows the letters incorrectly. The same bug appears in Geany 0.14.

I'm pretty sure it's a text file, since it is a sample input of a
certain programming exercise. When I open it, it looks like those
letters f and g overlaps themselves. As I said, OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 can
open it as well as vi.
In those zip-file mpera.zip there are another files. I guess those

I opened the file http://www.ohjelmointiputka.net/tiedostot/mpera.zip by
File Roller 2.22.3. Then I opened the file 10.txt by doubleclicking the
file. Now gedit 2.22.3 won't show the file correctly but for example
OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 can open it.
