I know the bug status says Fix Released, but the problem is still present on new installs of Ubuntu 14.04 (using a 14.04 image and upgrading all packages, NOT installing from a 14.04.2 image). Are there any plans to backport/fix this in the LTS release? -- You received this bug notification

I just checked, and the prior version of libspectre (libspectre1_0.2.7-2ubuntu1_amd64.deb), located at: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/amd64/libspectre1/0.2.7-2ubuntu1 renders the eps files correctly. Thus the bug was introduced in the change from -ubuntu1 to -ubuntu1.1 as a result of

I'd like to confirm this bug in Karmic. Blurry dvi rendering in evince, but PDF rendering is fine. dvi rendering in okular has a different problem in okular, as the anti-aliasing isn't on for some reason. xdvi seems to render the fonts sharply/correctly. -- dvi render blurry
