This is running under Hyper-V leveraging the prebuilt Ubuntu VM that
Microsoft uses

+1 to what everyone said THis is a huge changed and should have been
decided at one of the boards. Can we appeal to the Technical Board on
this? Or some other goverance party? If we can't then Ubuntu is no
longer a community created distro

My Ubuntu box does not show this bug after the updates, but still showing

Adding my two cents here... I do not have this problem running GDM/GNOME
but on my KDE 4 Kubuntu box I have this problem. I don't know how/if
this matters.

I'm currently dual booting Vista and Kubuntu and timed it and my Vista
boot is a little longer then Kubuntu is. I think I'm going to have to
assign it back to the Ubuntu Dev team to track this down.

Assinging this to the Dekstop Bugs team, hopefully this is correct.
Ubuntu is booting slower for some then Feisty does and sometimes even
slower then a dual boot of Vista. Hopefully I assinged it to the rigth
tema.
