I've found that the problem occurs when I have a panel located on the
left-side of my gnome viewport.
After moving the panel back to it's initial location at the bottom of the
screen, the problem cleared up.

Crashed after trying to edit the menu in jaunty beta.
I've been having problems with quite a few apps which run using python
2.6 - I saw in the crash report that this version of python was
involved.
