Exim works as well (even provides a sendmail symlink), and it's in main, whereas Sendmail is in universe. I think I would prefer bug-buddy to require one of the exim4-daemon-* packages. I also agree that this is significantly more severe than the current Wishlist status implies and think that the

In response to Sebastien Bacher's suggestion of using a Suggests instead of Depends: I think the best solution would be to put a Recommends on bug-buddy (an MTA is not necessary, but it seems pointless to use it without one) and an Enhances on exim4-whatever. Also, I think an MTA really should be

I installed the release version this morning, and the bug is back. I'm not sure what changed, as I was running an up-to-date dapper before the reinstall and it wasn't happening. Perhaps having also installed KDE and XFCE had something to do with it. -- False reports of Window not responding
