I think that very few users know hotkeys of vi editor. So I recommend to change
p. 2 in #159 to gedit.
(sudo gedit /etc/default/keyboard).
On fresh install (not upgrade) I deleted all files and directories which starts
from dot by rm -rf ~/.*.

I started seeing the eject master device option in the latest updates to
Ubuntu 13.04, which unmounts all the partitions.

It seems that error is caused by the following lines in .xsession-
errors:
(gnome-panel:2907): GLib-GObject-WARNING **:
/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.32.3/./gobject/gsignal.c:2455: signal `size_request' is
invalid for instance `0xf8fb40'
** Message: applet now embedded in the notification area
debsums -s returns nothing, fsck -f reports all partitions as clean.
I created new user - there is no gnome-panel in Gnome Classic session.

I found that I have TV connected to S-Video output of my Nvidia videocard.
In that two monitor configuration there is no gnome-panel on both screens.

I removed obsolete packages. Removed libwnck3 installed from
ppa:quirky/libwnck3.
I resetted new user profile and there is no gnome-panel on both screens.
Also there is no Unity shell on both screens.
My Video card is Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT:
lspci | grep VGA
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller:
Unity works after cycle between Unity 2D and 3D. Standart Gnome session
works.
