With the latest update to 2.22.2 the problem has disappeared for me.

Hi,
I have the same issue (Evolution 2.22.1) when trying to send two large
documents (appr 2MB each) in a mail. Only, when Evolution fails it seems
that my wireless network connection fails, I lose connection to the
wireless AP.
