Public bug reported:
I can use nautilus scripts in any folder but I just realized I can't use them
(at least to act a single selected file) in the search results folder.
I think that the problem is that the following variable is not set for some
reason in the search results folder:
Hi Pedro,
Yes, I am still having the exact same problem in 64-bit Lucid with Totem
2.30.2 and GStreamer 0.10.28.
Can anyone else confirm this problem?
Thanks

Fabio, thank you for the reply. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
I do not know much about linux. I am now thinking that the problem I am
experiencing is not baobab's fault, but rather a problem with gtk? Could
that be right? Attached are two screen shots. In the first, you can see

Sometimes I copy folders with many (thousands) of files in them. I do
this either by cp, rsync. Often I want to check the progress of the
transfer, so I calculate the folder size of the source
Here is an example:
Run the following script, which will create 1 files, each with size
100k.
mkdir folder1
for (( c=1; c=1; c++ ))
do
dd if=/dev/zero of=folder1/imaginaryfile$c bs=1024 count=100
done
While the script is running, right-click folder1 in a nautilus browser and go
ok, thank you for the quick replies and explanations. The intended
behaviour of Nautilus, as described by A. Walton, definitely makes sense
and I see that it would not be worth the sacrifice to calculate the size
instantaneously, especially since, as mentioned, the size does not
usually change
I agree with Kilbasar
