Sorry, you're right, i updated the lastest version of libgnomekbd and it still
isn't no fixed.
The status of the bug 513152 was changed to Fix Released, but someone also
reported that still doesn't work.

I can confirm that it works to establish a new color to key in Lucid
alph3 using gconf-editor. The key name is
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/indicator/foregroundColor and with a
sample value of 255 0 0 (without quotes).

same used for applications such as Firefox (_Tools) Gedit
