Yes, I encountered this with Virtual Box. I did not alt f2, I ran alt-ctrl f1
and copied the xsession-error file on the first boot attempt.
I'm not sure if this is a duplicate of 716714, but they do appear

Have you changed sent item folder ?
Please have a look at Edit - Preferences - Edit account - Defaults
