gnome-session-inhibit sh -c "sleep 10"
Excepted result is of course wait for 10 seconds before termination.
Actual result:
Failed to open "sleep 10"
That is causes because shell ignores the first argument that should be
the program name. But inhibit
Issue is in pidgin way of using depracated signal(2) and threads and
forking with a race condition. Fix is commited for pidgin 3.0. See

help you get to console login. (Alt Gr+SysRq+k to kill the dead

I just had same symptoms and I was browsing if bug was reported. But the
causes
I believe it's the animation with a light pattern cycling below the
Ubuntu logo -- shown when GDM loads, and after logging in via GDM when
the desktop loads.
And yes, I confirm that this animation looks broken in the sense that
it does not flow smoothly, which creates a bad impression. The

I have a Ricoh Caplio R4 camera (linux recognizes it perfectly), In
gutsy, when I plugin the camera with USB, nautilus recognizes it and ask
me if i want to import pictures with f-spot. Now in hardy nautilus takes
more time to mount the camera, and when it's mounted, it
other info... under preferences of nautilus is set correctly that f-spot
is the default program for pictures

I was unable to fix the rendering in evince by tweaking those
fontconfig-config options. For me, so far only modifying SplashFTFont.cc
and recompiling has improved the rendering.
The problem is worst at small font sizes (attachment).

I am running on feisty, and the following:
