Nautilus can be set to launch form Startup Appliications using the floowing command nautilus --browser --no-desktop path/folder I'm not sure if all options are need, but it would appear that the nautilus behaviour has changed at some point. -- Nautilus won't run from Sessions or Startup

Chris, when I filed the original report, I wasn't aware that nautilus was more than a file manger. What I want is to launch the nautilus file manager at startup, just as if I'd typed nautilus in a terminal, or went Places Home Folder. An entry like this worked in 8.04, but hasn't worked since.
