The effect decribed above occured in a VM (Oracle VirtualBox with an unsupported Guest Addition in order to get high resolution with Ubuntu 10.10) and could not be reproduced in a normal installation (without VM). Therefore I think this bug report is obsolete. -- gcalctool leaves artifacts on

I confirm for Jaunty as well. This is not bad ui design - it is a bug. It is a bug when the filename is highlighted but the treeview has the focus. Everybody would expect that the highlighted filename will be overwritten but nobody would expect to filter the treeview. So please fix it. --
